Warwick Car Tax Revolt creating Snowball Heck for Electeds!

Dear supporters,

Today the ACLU responded to the complaint that we filed against the council and the administration, and to the mayor and to Donna Travis for the legislation put forth to ban signs at city hall.  They offered a very stern warning to the mayor that this activity would not be tolerated.  This news broke on the Matt Allen show.  I have enclosed the link to the audio just click "LISTEN" http://www.630wpro.com/article.asp?id=2302190&spid=35447 

This is very important because you should realize that we, as a group, stopped this assault on our first amendment rights.  Had it not been for your professional participation at these meetings, this would have been another step completed to shut us up.  The children of the city thank you for participating and hope that you continue to protect them by attending all of the meetings, especially Oct. 12th.

This again tells us as we have stated that the car tax was not necessary and we will continue to fight this issue, dig into the books, to do whatever we can to repeal this tax and hold these elected officials responsible.

With all of the bad press that the city council is bringing upon themselves (with 3 exceptions) I just want to make it very clear that three council members have been on our side since day one.  Mr. Merolla, Mr. Solomon, and Mr. Donovan have continuously put forth the resolutions that are allowing us to obtain the necessary forum to express our concerns.

PS: These gentlemen also experience the same type of rehetoric and sequestering that we have come to know over the last few months.  It is important that we recognize them for their efforts.  I do apologize if I have not made this clear in the past.
