PRESS RELEASE: Our 3rd Annual Colon Cancer Awareness 5K Walk/Run will be held on August 7th at City Park. This is the first year that we will be giving team recognitions/awards.
If you have already registered a team and team captain with me, thank you. You should have your team roster and sponsor sheet and registration form.
If you are thinking about forming a team, it must be registered and your team captain named by July 20th. To register a team is as simple as letting me know the team name and team captain. A team must have at least 4 members. A team can continue registering members up until the time of the Walk/Run. However remember the last date for the ‘Early Bird’ registration fee of $10 is July 20th . I check the PO box every day. The registration must be in our PO Box or online by the 20th to be an “Early Bird”. After that the fee will be $15 for individual registration. Here are the categories for recognitions/awards. We have at least 13 teams registered to date. Not all are collecting donations/sponsors. And that is okay! ALL will be eligible for the ‘Team with the most members’.

We are always looking for volunteers to help us. This year we have more donated food to handle, more CCA items to sell, and some CCA items to give away. We will have a few t-shirts left from last year to sell for $3/ea or 2 for $5. And after the walk gets underway we could possibly have this year t-shirts to sell for $5 each.
We are looking forward to a very successful Walk/Run. This will certainly happen with your help.
