TV without Soaps would not be TV regardless of format

Without Soap Opera's there would be NO episodic prime time TV shows. There would be no Real Housewives. There would be no Jersey Shore or Real World. There would be no #ArmyWives, no #ProjectRunway! What - no #TLCFamilies? There would be no #NCIS ! There would be no Idol, Bachelor, Big Brother, Survivor ... we learned to TUNE IN TOMORROW because of SOAP OPERA stories that make us want to follow the TV lives of well written character families developing over time and circumstances that take place in our real lives/news - and then incorporated into television story lines. There's revenue for Soap program slots, just like other new ways of making money in hard economic times - do it new, do it better to live in new times. #AMC #OLTL #GH
